The Latin American Conference on Informatics (CLEI) is an annual event organized by the Latin American Center for Computer Studies that has been taking place since 1974, in an itinerant way across Latin America countries. It brings together researchers, professionals, teachers and students in a forum to discuss topics related to the areas of Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems and other courses in computing, as well as the direct impact of ICT (Information and Communication Technologies) in society as a whole. It aims at exchanging ideas, experiences and research results in the areas of interest of the community, through conferences, workshops, tutorials and panels.
Local: Universidade Presbiteriana Mackenzie (UPM) - Campus Higienópolis / São Paulo – Brazil
Date: October 1 to 5, 2018
Papers must be written in English, Portuguese or Spanish. They will be reviewed by an international program committee composed of members from academy and industry.
Full works, of up to 10 pages, must be submitted, in PDF, abiding to the IEEE Manuscript Templates for Conference Proceedings.
The submitted works shall not have been published or be in the process of review by any other conference or national or international publication.
All the works will be reviewed in a “simple blind review” way, by at least three members of the Scientific Committee.
In each conference session, the authors of the accepted papers will have 15 minutes for their oral presentation, and further 5 minutes for discussion.
The submitted papers must conform to the main themes of one of CLEI events (the proposed topics for each theme are just indicative; they do not intend to be restrictive.) Please check the full list of events at the end of this document.
In order to guarantee the publication of an accepted article in the Conference Annals, at least one of the authors must register for the conference. The article must also abide by the suggested format and it shall not exceed the maximum number of pages allowed. In addition, the authors of works that receive recommendations of modifications must follow these recommendations before the final submission.
Each registration will allow the publication of up to two accepted articles. In order to publish more articles, an extra payment for each additional article must be made.
The articles (full papers) will be sent to be indexed at the IEEE Xplore Digital Library.
The best articles will be selected for possible publication at the following journals:
The authors who are invited to submit an article to CLEI Electronic Journal must then submit an enhanced and expanded version of the original article in English, which will undertake a new review process.
