CLATG – I Latin American Contest of Final Term Papers, a satellite event of CLEI-LACLO 2018, is a space for presentation and discussion of Final Term Papers produced by undergraduate students. It aims at establishing a friendly environment for discussions and collaborations, where students that have just finished their undergraduate courses can share their experiences with experienced researchers and professionals, envisioning the continuity of the research either at postgraduate level or in a professional positional.
Primeiro lugar: "Classifying Social Network Messages to Support Emergency Responders in Natural Disasters", dos autores Bruno Sena e Elisa Yumi Nakagawa.
Segundo lugar: "Implementação e avaliação de sistemas de recomendação, tradicionais e sensíveis ao contexto, baseados em técnicas de fatoração de matrizes", dos autores Vítor Rodrigues Tonon, Camila Vaccari Sundermann e Solange Oliveira Rezende
Terceiro lugar: "Exploiting Cluster Specialization into Linear Weighted Hybrid Recommender Systems", dos autores Miller Horvath, Matheus Henrique De Carvalho Zamberlan, Vitor Finati Silva, Guilherme Wachs Lopes e Paulo Rodrigues.
We invite students that have just finished their undergraduate Computing courses (in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Software Engineering or related courses) between May 01, 2017 and April 30, 2018, to present their Final Term Papers, on condition that they relate to CLEI-LACLO topics of interest, namely:
Works presented at CLATG 2018 will be evaluated by researchers and professionals and the three best works will receive prizes, on the basis of both the written works and the oral presentations. Therefore, papers selected but not presented at CLEI-LACLO 2018 will not considered for prizes.
Submitted works must be written in English, Portuguese or Spanish. An international program committee composed by members of academy and industry will review them. Submissions have to be made via SBC’s JEMS system.
Proof of having recently graduated must be submitted together with the paper by the authors via documentation provided by the authors’ institution.

Submitted works must have 4 pages at most, including figures, tables, references, acknowledgments etc. Works must be submitted in PDF, according to IEEE Manuscript Templates for Conference Proceedings.
The article must clearly show the nature of the contribution and the problems, domains or environments the article address. The following structure for the article is suggested: Abstract, Introduction, Theoretical Foundation / Related Works, Research Methodology, Results, Discussion, Final Considerations / Conclusion, Acknowledgments, and References.
In the text submitted for review no information that allows the identification of the authors must be submitted. Therefore, authors’ names, affiliations and bibliographical references must not appear in the initial submission. Such information shall be included in the final version of the article. The supervisors and co-supervisors of the work must also be included as authors.
Submitted works must not have been previously published nor being under revision by any other national or international conference or journal.
All the works will be blind reviewed by at least two members of the Scientific Committee.
The authors of the accepted articles will be awarded a time slot in the technical conference for their oral presentation before the evaluators, according to the schedule that will be made public at CLEI-LACLO 2018’s site.
Once accepted, the authors that receive any request for change in the articles must follow these requests before submitting the article’s final version. SBC’s Copyright Form must also be submitted together with the final version. In this contract there are versions in English and Portuguese. The authors must choose between one of the versions, irrespective of the language the article was written in. It is not necessary to sign both versions.
In order to assure that the article will be published in the Congress Proceedings, at least one of the authors must register for the Congress and the article must comply with the established paper format and the maximum number of pages limit.
The articles will be published in CLATG 2018 Proceedings, as a book, in electronic format, with a proper ISBN.
