Mackenzie - Campus Higienópolis
It is a pleasure to invite the academic community to submit their contributions to the WLATAC -1st Latin American Workshop of Works in Progress in Computer Science, a satellite event of CLEI-LACLO 2018, which provides researchers and scientific and professional communities the opportunity of sharing ideas about undergraduate, graduate and cutting-edge market works in progress, allowing exchange of experiences, fostering discussions and collaborations.
We encourage latin-american students, researchers and professionals to submit a short description of their original research projects related to the topics of CLEI-LACLO 2018 (Computer Science, Computers Engineering, Information Systems, Informatics in Education, besides the direct impact of ICTs – Information and Communication Technologies). In this context, the submitted contributions will be considered if they are related to work in progress of undergraduate scientific and conclusion projects, Master dissertations and Phd thesis as initial results and prototypes, inspiring ideas, intriguing research data, relevant problems, mature conceptual analysis of scientific research even if still in progress.
The contributions should be written in Spanish, Portuguese or English and will be reviewed by an international scientific committee composed by members of industry and academy.
A submissão dos artigos deverá ser feita por meio do sistema JEMS: https://submissoes.sbc.org.br/home.cgi?c=3043
JEMs Publication Manual: https://submissoes.sbc.org.br/manual/index.php?page=Authors_of_papers
The contributions (Full Papers, maximum 2 pages), must be submitted in PDF, IEEE format (Manuscript Templates for Conference Proceedings).
The paper submitted for revision by the scientific committee should not include information about authors. Therefore, names, filiations and bibliographic references to the authors should not appear in the submitted version of the paper. This information should be included in the camera-ready version of the paper.
The submitted contributions should not be under review by any other conference or national or international publication.
All the submitted papers will be subject of blind review by at least two members of the scientific committee.
The authors of the accepted papers will present their contributions within poster sessions during the conference in local and schedule to be defined.
In order to ensure publication of an accepted paper in the proceedings, at least one of the authors must register in the conference and the paper format should be compliant to the suggested format and should not exceed the stipulated number of papers. Additionally, the authors of works that had modification recommendations should carry out the correction of their papers before submitting their camera-ready version.
Each registration in the conference will cover up to 2 (two) accepted papers. For the publication of further number of papers, the payment of an extra fee per paper will be required.
The papers will be published in an electronic book of the Workshop, with ISBN.
