  • The modern scientific edifice rests on the publication system. The publication system is based on a scientifically robust, honest and sustainable review process. The review process requires ethical behavior.
  • The unique duty of the reviewers is to assist in the selection of the most appropriate papers for presentation or publication or both, from the submissions received.
  • While each event defines its specific acceptance criteria and relative weightings:
    • scientific quality;
    • originality;
    • generality of the results;
    • relevance of the topic and area;
    • positioning with respect to the state of the art;
    • application of generally recognized principles of research and publication;
    • quality of the evidence supporting the proclaimed results;
    • software and other resources
