CLEI Journal is opening a position for a Journal Manager Editor, a role that includes a modest monthly remuneration, to be defined. CLEI Journal is a highly regarded journal, officially supported by the Centro Latinoamericano de Estudios en Informática and indexed in SJR (Q4), Scopus, DBLP, Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ), Crossref, LATINDEX Catalog 2.0, Qualis (Evaluation areas: COMPUTER SCIENCE; ENGINEERING III; ENGINEERING IV), Semantic Scholar, Directory of Open Access Scholarly Resources (ROAD), among others.
The main function of the Manager Editor is to support the Editor-in-Chief of the journal and the editorial board, with an approximate commitment of 5 hours per week. Some of the main tasks to be performed are:
- Provide support for the Open Journal System, on which the journal operates;
- Supporting the assignment of papers to reviewers, in coordination with the Editor-in-Chief and/or guest editors;
- Sending reminders to reviewers when deadlines are approaching;
- Coordinating the publication process for issues;
- Verifying that submitted papers are in the format suggested by the journal;
- Helping to recruit reviewers and contributors.
