Project and Research Support CLEI

Objective

Promote the conformation of international projects among CLEI member universities.

Activities

  • Partially finance the elaboration or execution of projects to be submitted to non-national competitive instances, including SticAmsud, CYTED, ECOS, BNF, EU-Erasmus* or others, to be proposed by the members and evaluated by the committee.
  • To build a bank of Ibero-American research projects.

Requirements

  • Clearly identify the instance to which the project proposal will be sent.
  • The instance must be competitive, competitive, and with third party evaluation.
  • Include at least 3 CLEI member institutions (unless the call is limited to 2), from at least 2 different countries.

Commitments (if the proposal is accepted)

  • To make 1 tutorial in ELI-CLEI (regardless of the acceptance or not of the project)
  • Publish (not just submit) at least one article in CLEI Journal
  • Suggest that graduate theses derived from the project be submitted to CLTM or CLTD.
  • Have all PIs and/or Co-Investigators participate in the CLEI Conference TPC at least once.
  • Acknowledge CLEI’s support in publications and theses derived from the project.

  • Number of CLEI member universities
  • Number of countries
  • Remoteness or lack of previous CLEI funding
  • Interest of the proposed topic for Latin American Informatics
