Requests

Scholarship

Since 1998 CLEI has awarded scholarships to authors participating in the annual conference. The Executive Committee has been commissioned to decide the recipients of the scholarships.

The CLEI Executive Committee decides and awards the scholarships. There is a resource limit for this concept. The scholarships can be full or partial, e.g., only airfare, only half, etc.

The Executive Committee analyzes the applications with the following criteria (not necessarily ordered in terms of priority):

  • Reasons argued for their request.
  • Partial funding that the authors can assume.
  • Reasons argued by the country representatives (when this occurs).
  • Qualification of items.
  • Travel bag available (probably close to $5000).
  • To obtain the greatest possible benefit.
  • Clei membership of the institution of which he/she is a member.
  • Participation in other CLEI conferences.
  • Papers presented by the same author.
  • The institution must be up to date with membership payments.

Support for events

Since 2002 CLEI wants to collaborate in the financing of events when they deserve and require it. The Executive Committee has been commissioned to decide the benefits. There is a limit of resources for this concept. The Executive Committee analyzes the requests with the following criteria (not necessarily ordered in terms of priority):

  • Reasons argued for their request.
  • Partial funding that the authors can assume.
  • Reasons argued by the country representatives (when this occurs).
  • Qualification of items.
  • Travel bag available (probably close to $5000).
  • To obtain the greatest possible benefit.
  • Clei membership of the institution of which he/she is a member.
  • Participation in other CLEI conferences.
  • Papers presented by the same author.
  • The institution must be up to date with membership payments.
