Dra. Claudia Bauzer Medeiros
Claudia Bauzer Medeiros is full professor of databases at the Institute of Computing, University of Campinas (Unicamp), Brazil and a member of the Brazilian Academy of Sciences. She has received Brazilian and international awards for research, teaching, and also for her work in fostering the participation of women in IT-related activities.
Her research is centered on the design and development of scientific databases. Her main interests lie in facing the challenges posed by large, real world applications, which require handling distributed and very heterogeneous data sources.
She is a Commander of the Brazilian Order of Scientific Merit, Dr. Honoris Causa from the University Antenor Orrego, Peru, and from the University Paris-Dauphine, France. She is a Member at Large of the Council of the ACM, member of the Council of the Research Data Alliance (RDA), and of the World Data System (WDS).
Dr. Francisco Tirado
Francisco Tirado is Professor of Computer Architecture and Technology at Universidad Complutense de Madrid. He has worked on different fields within Computer Architecture, Parallel Processing and Design Automation. His current research areas are parallel algorithms and architectures, processor design. Professor Tirado has coauthored over 300 publications.
He has served in the organization of more than 100 International Conferences as General Chair, Steering Committee member, Program Chair, Program Committee member, Invited Speaker, and Session Chair. He has been the director of the CSC (Center for SuperComputation) and Madrid Science Park. Prof. Tirado is Chair of Informatics Scientific Spanish Society ( SCIE), Doctor “honoris causa” by the National University of Asunción, National University of San Agustin, National University of La Plata and University of Almeria. Prof. Tirado is a senior member of IEEE, Member of the European Academy Computer Section, and he has received 2013 Spanish Nacional Award of Computer Science.
Dr. Raimundo Macêdo
Raimundo Macêdo is a full professor in the Computer Science Department and head of the Distributed Systems Laboratory (LaSiD) at Federal University of Bahia (UFBA) in Brazil. He holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Newcastle upon Tyne (England).
He is the current President of Brazilian Computer Society (SBC) and an IFIP Councillor. He was a member of the Directive Committee of CLEI from 2011 to 2016.
Prof. Macêdo has participated and coordinated several research projects with different Brazilian and international research institutions, covering the many aspects of dependable distributed systems (algorithms, architectures, and implementations), and served on the program committee of numerous conferences on the area of dependable systems, including IEEE/IFIP DSN, IEEE SRDS, LADC (Latin-American Symposium on Dependable Computing), EDCC (European Dependable Computing Conference), among others. He is currently a member of the steering committee of SRDS (International Symposium on Reliable Distributed Systems). His research interests include dependable and self-manageable distributed systems and cyber-physical systems.

In charge of the marketing strategy for solutions in the cloud in organizations in Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, Paraguay and Uruguay. With more than 20 years of experience in technology organizations and commercialization of software solutions. He has participated in banking development projects, as well as in the definition of marketing strategies and the commercialization of solutions such as Microsoft Azure and he has set up companies using the platform model. His training is in Systems Engineering, with a Master in Business Administration and Certification in Digital Transformation of MIT.
