A current research area in Human Computer Interaction is the requirements elicitation of usability; particularly the cognitive and learning requirements are essential in determining the usability qualities of a system. An approach for capturing cognitive and learning requeriments is presented in this work being it’s main contribution viewing a use case model and the associated scenarios as a basic receptor structure for these kind of requirements. A specific set of tasks to be accomplished during requirement elicitation facilitates the definition of cognitive and learning goals for a system and they structure, from a user’s perspective, the use case models as abstraction and validation units.
