clei 2007 is the thirty third version of the event, which initiated in 1974. It is organized by the Universidad de Costa Rica (UCR), the Instituto Tecnológico de Costa Rica (ITCR), the Universidad Nacional (UNA), the Universidad Estatal a Distancia (UNED), and the Universidad Latinoamericana de Ciencia y Tecnología (ULACIT), with the support of the Cámara de Tecnologías de Información y Comunicaciones (CAMTIC) and the Colegio de Profesionales en Informática y Computación (CPIC).
The Program Committee invites the submission of papers that report original research results in all areas of Computer Sciences and Informatics. The papers must not have been published previously or submitted for its publication.

Papers must be written in English, Spanish or Portuguese. They must be at most 10 pages long, written in 10-point Arial typeset, singled-spaced, letter-sized pages 8" x 11", with 1 inch margins at each side. Papers must start with a title, followed by its authors, with corresponding affiliations and e-mail addresses. Submission must be in PDF format.

CLEI 2007 renews its objective of being the most important Latin American forum in which scientists, researchers, professionals and students exchange ideas and share research results in Computer Sciences and Informatics.
The Congress includes several activities such as technical sessions with presentations of research papers, forums, and discussion panels, as well as keynote speeches.
